Genesis 15:13,14

Two time periods. From the Abrahamic Covenant, Gen. 17, to the Mosaic Covenant was 430 years, Gal 3:16, 17; The 400 years is sojourn of the children Israel who dwelt in the land (of Canaan) and served in Egypt until the fourth generation of those born in Egypt, Gen 3:13-16; Ex 12:40; Acts 7:6 (the genealogy from Levi to Moses will show the four generations in Egypt). Gen 15:13 counts from Abraham's descendants, beginning with Isaac, 400 years. Exodus 12:40 counts from Gen 17, the time between the two covenants, 430 years. Acts 13:17-19 is the time period between the end of the 40 years of wilderness wandering until Samuel the prophet.
