Heaven and Hell

The Bible says that we cannot hide our sin from God. Adam and Eve tried and God held them accountable. As a result of their sin they were removed from the Garden of Eden. The Bible teaches that God will hold everyone accountable. People don't like to be held accountable, but we must all stand before God one day. He sees everything we do. God is watching. If a child got into their Mother's pocket book and took a $20.00 bill when no one was around, God saw this. No matter how sneaky we are we can't sneak around on God. Judgment Day is coming. Jesus said the Holy Spirit would convict us of sin, and righteousness, and judgment. He will make us aware that what we are doing is wrong. So what can we do? The good news is that we can confess our sin to God before the Day of Judgment gets here. We can believe in His Son Jesus Christ and trust Him as our Savior. When we do this all our sins will be forgiven. The Bible says that Jesus came to save us from our sins. The Bible says that we are all sinners and in need of forgiveness. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He arose from the grave. He will one day return in judgement. The great day of the Lord is coming and probably soon. We cannot expect God's blessing if we leave Him out of our life. But when we turn to Him His blessing is promised. No matter what we have done He will forgive us. If we don't take sin seriously then we have probably never been saved. To think about being lost on the day of judgment is a scary thing. The Bible says if that happens then we will spend eternity in Hell. The Bible says this is forever and it's not pleasant. It's horrible. But the alternative is Heaven and we can spend eternity there when we turn to Jesus. That's why it's called the Good News. If you died today can you honestly say you have been saved? Do you think about God? Do you spend time talking to Him in prayer? Do you read the Bible? Do you worship God? If these things are not part of your life then maybe you can't say that you have been saved. If they don't matter to you then you may be lost. If you feel conviction about your sin then maybe God is trying to talk to you. Are you listening? Jesus came to save us from our sin and He wants us to believe in Him and trust Him for salvation and forgiveness of sin.
