Neighbor
In the Old English days, the words "neah" (“nigh”) and "gebur" (“to dwell”) were combined to form "neahgebur" (“one who dwells near”), the ancestor of our "neighbor." German "nachbar" and Swedish "nabo" live in the vicinity.
