In the British Museum is a large cylinder and inscribed on it are the annals of Esarhaddon, an Assyrian king (ca. 681 – 669 B.C.), who deported a large population of Israelites from Palestine. A consequent settlement of Babylonian colonists took their place and intermarried with remaining Jewish women and their descendants. The result was the mongrel race called Samaritans. They had developed a superstitious form of worshiping God (compare 2 Kings 17:26-34).

COVID-19
The situation churches face because of the COVID-19 outbreak is unique and temporary. Once the threat has passed, we will be free to return to our meetings and ministries as before. Pastors should not feel they are disobeying God by obeying the governing authorities during these unique times.
These are tough times. You can witness by using the internet, e-mail, text messages, or landline phone calls, and pray for people (James 5:16). The pastors of the churches are keeping up with the people. The hardships that this epidemic has brought with it will not last forever. In the meantime, we should obey the law (Romans 13:1-2), be patient (John 13:7), stay faithful (Hebrews 11:1).

Why did Satan sin
Pride (Proverbs 16:18). Satan’s original name was Lucifer. He was the Guardian cherub in Eden (Ezekiel 28:14). He wore precious stones. He took notice of his beauty (Ezekiel 28:17). Seeing how beautiful he was, his pride took over, and he tried to replace God (Isaiah 14:13). Apparently, the angels had a freewill back then. Satan chose to sin. He got one-third of the other angels to follow him (Revelation 12:4). They all sinned and will face some dire consequences (Matthew 25:41).
Mankind also has free will. He can choose God or Satan. If he chooses God eternal life awaits him (John 3:16). If he chooses the world the same fate awaits him as Satan and the fallen angels (Galatians 5:19-21). It is pride that keeps people from inheriting eternal life.
