What is the significance of Mount Hermon in the Bible?

What is the significance of Mount Hermon in the Bible?

Sexism

Sexism is one gender, usually male, having dominance over the other gender, usually female. The Bible contains many references to women that, to our modern mindset, sound discriminatory towards women. But we have to remember that when the Bible describes an action, it does not necessarily mean that the Bible endorses that action. The Bible describes men treating women as little more than property, but that does not mean God approves of that action. The Bible is far more focused on reforming our souls than our societies. God knows that a changed heart will result in a changed attitude.

Satanic Plaque and Altar Unearthed in The Queen’s Holyrood Park in Scotland | Ancient Origins

Satanic Plaque and Altar Unearthed in The Queen’s Holyrood Park in Scotland | Ancient Origins
There is a book called Communicatio in Sacris. It is the only book in the world that documents, details, and quotes why the Roman Catholic Church prohibits Catholics from intercommunicating  (communicate mutually) with protestants or any non- Catholic. Communicatio in Sacris can be found at the following website http://www.sspxarchbishopmarcellefebvre.com/communicatio-in-sacris/
One example of this is communion. Catholics are strictly forbidden to take communion at a Protestant church.  Biblically, the purpose of communion is to remember the death of Jesus Christ and the new covenant and to “proclaim” His sacrifice by means of illustration (Matthew 26:28Luke 22:191 Corinthians 11:26). In a Catholic Church, the purpose is entirely different. When a person receives communion in a Catholic Church, the priest says, “The Body of Christ,” and the communicant responds, “Amen” in agreement. This signifies a belief in transubstantiation. The vast majority of Protestants strongly disagree with the Catholic understanding of the Lord’s Supper, and it would be dishonest to say, “Amen.”
There are just too many disagreements between the RCC and Protestants over how a Christian should live and worship.

Welcome to the world today.....
Where sex is free and love is expensive. Where losing a phone is more painful than losing your virginity. Where modernization means nudity, profanity, and if you don't drink/smoke dope you're out of fashion/style. Where boys stay boys and never want to become men, and girls become men to rule over them. Where if you don't fool your partner it's because you're not clever enough. Where the bathrooms have become photography studios. Where pizza delivery is faster than the emergency response. Where people fear thieves and terrorists more than God. Where Worshipping God is difficult. Where temples turn into dating pools. Where lies become realities. Where the ladies fear pregnancy more than h.i.v., and babies are murdered so the ladies can escape. Where people become toxic when they speak the truth or you're resisting to turn from what is actually toxic. Where perspectives and clothes decide the value of a person. Where money is more important than family and God. Where children are ready to leave their families for their love of the moment, rebellion and spite. Where the marriage covenant is no longer sacred or taken seriously. Where it's easier to play house than to build a home. Where jumping from partner to partner for sex or attention is easier than waiting for the right partner for life.
Where love is a game.
Where evil no longer exists.
Whoever plays with the mind always gets happiness and who plays with the heart always hurts.
Modernity, love and liquid education...
The new generation of humanity.
II Timothy 3: 1-4
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
Matthew 24:12-13
Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of many will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
There's still hope in Jesus, it's not too late!

”Cleopatra and Marcus Antonius at the Funeral Bier of Julius Caesar” - painted in 1878 by Lionel-Noël Royer (1852 - 1926). Oil on canvas; dimensions: 115.57 x 147.32 cm or 45.5 x 58.0 in. Private Collection.
Julius Caesar was murdered on March 15, 44 BC and there are no firsthand accounts as what took place at Caesar’s funeral and cremation. What we know comes from two sources: the Greek historian Appian of Alexandria (c. 95 - c. 165 AD), in his Roman history writings History of the Civil Wars, and the Roman scholar Gaius Suetonius Tranquillus (c. 71 - c. 135 AD), in his Lives of the Twelve Caesars, both written decades after Caesar’s funeral. From these two accounts, we get a picture as to what may have taken place in 44 BC.
A few days after Caesar’s assassination his body, still in the clothes he wore when murdered, was taken on a bier of ivory and placed on the Rostra in the Roman Forum. In the Forum today is the reconstructed rostra that sit on that site near the Temple of Saturn and the Arch of Severus. The condition of Caesar’s body couldn’t have been very good after days in the heat of Rome, embalming hadn’t been invented in 44 BC. This would have added to the horror of the event. Also on the Rostra, next to the body, was a torso of Caesar made of wax, which revolved mechanically, showing the 23 stab wounds.
The large crowd that had gathered for the funeral was becoming more and more agitated as time went on, and there was great wailing and moaning coming from them. Armed men were placed in front of the Rostra to hold back the crowd as Caesar’s friend and Consul Marcus Antonius took to the platform to give the funeral oration. It is not known what he said, but after Antonius’ speech, the mob rushed the Rostra, pushing past the guards, seizing the bier with Caesar’s body, and carried it down the Via Sacra to the Forum’s square, between the Basilica Julia and the Temple of Castor and Pollux.
There they sat it down, covering it with wood, clothes, furniture, anything that would burn, and set it ablaze. It was said that fire was so large and out of control that several of the building in the Forum were damaged. And after the funeral pyre had burned out the crowd, still enraged, went through the city burning the houses of the conspirators. This caused many of them to flee the city. Both Antonius and Octavian used this anger to their own political ends, getting rid of the senate conspirators and to form their own seat of power in Rome.
Caesar’s ashes had been collected and later placed in the base of the Alter the Rome Senate had erected on the site of his cremation. By the middle of April, everything started to change and Cleopatra left Rome with her and Caesar’s 3-years-old son Caesarion. Precisely when they returned to Egypt is not known. She no doubts witnessed Caesar’s funeral on 20 March and appreciated Antonius’ display of respect for Caesar. In 31 BC Octavian began the construction of a temple to honor his adopted father also at that site. In 29 BC, two years later, the temple was dedicated to “Divus Julius,” the Deified Caesar.

Ireland's Mysterious Newgrange Tomb - Older than the Great Pyramids

Ireland's Mysterious Newgrange Tomb - Older than the Great Pyramids

Samson

“Because of the tenor of the book of Judges, i.e., the constant decline of the spirituality of the people, and because of Samson’s obvious lack of spirituality in the things he does throughout his adult life, I believe the sense in Judges 14:3 is “Samson did what he thought was right.” Samson is saying that marrying this girl was the right thing to do because he was the judge who was prophesied to deliver Israel, and marrying her would give him an occasion to fight and kill Philistines. God never does a right thing in a wrong way. God was seeking an occasion whereby he, God, could begin to deliver Israel from the Philistines, and avenge his people for the wrongs committed against them. But Samson tried to help God by making an occasion. Thus, in my view, the sense of Judges 14:2–4 should read.,

“'2 Samson said to his father, “Get her for me, for she is right in my eyes.” 4 But his father and mother did not know that it was of the Lord—*for Samson* was seeking an occasion to move against the Philistines. For at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.'

“God does not seek to hinder Samson. God is truly seeking an occasion against the Philistines, and although Samson is acting 'in the flesh' God will condescend to use the actions of his anointed servant. God has promised to be with Samson as long as Samson does not break his Nazirite vow. Thus God will be with his servant and begin to deliver Israel, even when his servant is going in a direction counter to the Divine influence.

“God is with Samson for the sake of his word (Judges 13:5, 7) and the sake of his people Israel. No blessing, however, is accruing to Samson. This is easy to determine. Throughout the course of his life, does Samson grow in spirituality or decline? Do his actions reveal a godly man or a carnal believer? Does God bring personal blessing into Samson’s life? His wife is burned to death (15:6); his countrymen come out in arms against him (15:9–13) and deliver him to the Philistines; he commits fornication multiple times; his eyes are gouged out; he takes his own life in order to kill his enemies. This does not seem to be a man whom God blessed.

“Just because God’s work is being done does not mean there is a blessing to the worker. To work the works of God and receive the blessing from God one must do God’s work God’s way in God’s time. That’s just the opposite of the way Samson did God’s work.

Freewill an opinion

Actually, on the topic of free will the unbelievers are making hay with the idea that God makes people in such a way that they cannot help but to sin and have no choice but to sin. It is an unnecessary stumbling block that hurls many souls into hell.
God is fair and righteous and good and loves every single soul that He formed in the womb by His own mighty hand. He offers salvation to whosoever will and made Atonement for all of mankind.
This is the Gospel message and there are those that would say that people have no choice but to sin and God doesn't actually love everyone and certainly did not make provision for all to be saved if they would only turn to God.

I am very modest in dealing with Calvinist claims as I love my brothers in Christ that hold to those views in spite of the raw fact that those views get in the way of the Gospel.
