Taqiyya: Deception and Lying in Islam

Taqiyya: Deception and Lying in Islam

Billy Graham 'Another Road, Another Chance Portland Sermon 1992

What's Happening With Our Society? SHOCKING Revelations. God Help Us All.

God has the right to do whatever He wants with a man.

It was prophesied that someone (not necessarily Judas) would betray Christ. I don’t think that Judas was a particular individual that was predestined to betray Christ.

I think that in time, a man with a deceitful heart was chosen, a man who was unfaithful, a man with a murderous heart, (and we know there’s always plenty of those around), and he was chosen to betray the Christ.

In this sense, prophecy would be fulfilled, and the man with the deceitful, unfaithful, murderous heart (which happened to be Judas), betrayed Christ and received his just judgment for being a deceitful, unfaithful, thieving, murderer.

Historian Niall Ferguson on the roots of today's political polarization

Duterte calls doctrine of Holy Trinity 'silly' and Jesus Christ 'unimpressive'

Duterte calls the doctrine of Holy Trinity 'silly' and Jesus Christ 'unimpressive'
Does this fentanyl-abusing, mass-murdering, habitually-adulterous, “power-nap”-dependent, sloppily-dressed filthy-moutth expect the Lord Jesus to be “impressed” with him?

Jesus died because of the incredibly generous and self-sacrificing love. No wonder Duterte doesn’t understand; those adjectives and nouns are completely foreign to him. He has lived his entire life betraying wives, publicly mocking his children, and murdering people who disagree with him.

Man can come

“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
John 6:44 KJV
This verse is highly contested and I really think we can learn a lot from it. I’m baffled that this verse is so contested. This is what the Calvinists reads when he read’s this verse.
“No man comes to me, except the Father which hath sent me draws him”.

The words “can come” shows ability, but the Calvinists do not see those words because he demands the draw is irresistible. This is a perfect example of injecting context into the verse. Regardless of the definition of the word “draw”, “can come” provides the ability, not the necessity.
