His Anger Is but for a Moment

His Anger Is but for a Moment: The Bible makes clear that God’s anger is aroused by sin—by breaking His perfect and beneficial laws. He is slow to anger; but when His righteous anger is provoked, He never loses control and never loses sight of His loving purpose for creating us. God wants us to become His children

Civil War

American Civil War, but it did mark the beginning of General Sherman’s campaign to capture thIn 1864 the Battle of Resaca began in Georgia. This isn’t one of the great famous battles of thee critical rail center of Atlanta, Georgia. As it happened, when Atlanta finally fell on August 31 after a two-month siege, not only was it a major strategic victory from a military point of view, it turned the political tide in the North. Democrat George McClellan, running on a peace at any price platform was sure to beat incumbent Abraham Lincoln in the November election which would have resulted in the South winning the War. Yet after the fall of Atlanta, the tide changed and Lincoln won going away. This enabled the passage of the 13th Amendment prohibiting slavery and the capitulation of the Southern forces early the next year.

Jesus

Faith,belief

Faith is trust while belief is an opinion or a practice that cannot be backed up by logic or proof of the belief.
Faith and belief are not the same, although faith does include the element of belief. One must believe that someone or something exists before you can put faith in that person or thing. However, you can believe some things that do not affect your life exist. I believe a number of different countries exist, but I do not change my lifestyle because they do exist. According to the Bible, this type of belief is not true faith (Hebrews 11:1). Having true faith will result in a changed lifestyle. Actions, priorities, thought life and a different worldview.
To simply say I believe in God means nothing if it does not come from the heart. Some people say they believe in God but their lives never change. When a person has true faith in God they can't help but change.

Christianity

What Really Matters . . .
One day when I get to heaven I may find out I was wrong about the age of the Earth, the manifestation of the sign gifts, the mode of baptism, the timing of the parousia, or a host of other secondary issues. But you know what? I'm still going to get there because none of those issues determine a person's salvation.
Friends we can differ and be wrong on many non-essentials. I have my convictions and you may have yours. I have Scripture to back mine up and I'm sure you do to. I am not saying these things don't matter, doctrine always matters. But before you spend your life arguing about these topics make sure you have settled in your heart the essentials that you cannot afford to be wrong on. That salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. That He is the virgin born sinless Son of God who's substitutionary atonement paid the penalty for sin, and by His bodily resurrection He forever defeated death, hell, and the grave granting forgiveness of sin and eternal life to all who believe. Without Christ you will never get there to find out if all the other things you were so passionate about were right or wrong and quite frankly you won't care at that point for it will be too late. Tell others about Jesus and how they can know Him personally before debating with them over the other things. ~~ Kris Theobald

Parents/gotquestions

You are not wrong by requesting that your parents not take your daughter to mass while they are watching her. They should respect your wishes, after all, she is your daughter. They are the grandparents. Explain to them your wishes for your daughter. Be respectful while doing this. The parents are responsible for raising the child. Grandparents do play a role by showing unconditional love and kindness to the child.
You have done the right thing by using scripture to explain your position to them. The simplicity of the gospel is what will speak to Catholics the most. That’s the “key” in witnessing to them. In many ways, the Catholic Church insulates people from God, who can only be approached through priests and saints, and then only with the proper prayers, penance, and piety. The Bible teaches us “the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3, NASB). Jesus extends the invitation to all: “Let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life” (Revelation 22:17). “Whoever has the Son has life” (1 John 5:12). Such simplicity appeals to those laboring under a merit-based system of religious works.
I will be praying that you can resolve the situation. This is an article that you should read. https://www.gotquestions.org/witnessing-Catholics.html

One of the joys of the provinces is riding on a 40 year old bus with someone driving who probably has had both eyes gouged out and their left foot replaced with a boulder. Every conceivable space is filled either with a child or a chicken whilst the main bulk of the passengers ride on top of the bus, clinging helplessly for dear life, but managing to eat and sing. This bus then reaches warp 9 within 20 seconds.

Samson

WHO KILLED SAMSON?```
--Delilah or the Philistines?
-Neither of these options is correct.
--Permit me to tell you how
--Even if there were 10,000 Philistine soldiers, they couldn't have defeated Samson.
--Do you know why? Samson's strength was not of this world; it was divine.
--As long as no one can defeat GOD, no army could have defeated Samson no matter how strong or many
--Samson was raised a terror for the Philistines. He killed a lion with his bare hands, lifted the gate of a city on his shoulder and walked over 46 miles; he killed 300 Philistines soldiers with a jaw bone.
--What if he got a spear or sword?
--So, who killed Samson? The answer is Samson.
--Yes! Samson killed himself!
◇◆A man is his greatest enemy.
◆◇What an enemy cannot do to a man, he would do to himself.
◆◇Samson killed himself.
◆◇He delivered himself to the lap of Delilah and used his own mouth to tell the secret of his power.
--His life promised so much but delivered so little
--The Bible says:-
Proverbs 19:3 The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the Lord .
--Nobody can ruin your life except you do with your own hands.
--Although you can blame it on GOD or parents or government, you're the architect of your life; you are your greatest enemy.
--Even if your grandparents had done any evil, until you press the trigger it won't explode on your face
--No Satan or witch has the power to destroy you no matter how much they hate you, you're the only one who can kill yourself by your actions
--When the enemies try in vain to kill you, they lie in wait and allow you to kill yourself by your actions.
》》Goliath, the champion couldn't hurt David but adultery destroyed his family.
》》The gentile nations couldn't hurt Moses, but anger killed him. When king
》》Jeroboam stretched his hand against the prophet, his hand dried up; he couldn't hurt him, but his own disobedience turned him to a prey for a lion.
--Your greatest enemy isn't outside

Human nature

Over the past two thousand years of human development, nothing much has changed. Humans seem to have a need to criticize others who actually try to do something positive, we want to tear down, to belittle. What’s the point of that?
